How the Goa bill is calculated
Goa domestic supply is billed monthly. Consumption is split across telescopic slabs from ₹2.1 to ₹6.6/unit, each band charged at its own rate. A fixed charge of ₹25 per kW of sanctioned load applies.

The Goa Electricity Department (GED) was established in 1963 and remains a direct department of the Government of Goa — it was never unbundled or corporatised into a separate distribution company, unlike almost every other Indian state.
GED is the sole licensee for generation, transmission and distribution across the entire state, covering Panaji, Margao, Vasco and all other areas of Goa.
