ज़्यादातर भारतीय डिस्कॉम घरेलू बिजली का बिल टेलीस्कोपिक स्लैब से बनाते हैं — यानी प्रति-यूनिट दरें खपत बढ़ने के साथ बढ़ती जाती हैं।
- हर स्लैब की अपनी दर होती है — जैसे पहली 100 यूनिट एक दर पर और अगली 100 यूनिट उससे ज़्यादा दर पर बिल की जा सकती हैं।

The fixed charge depends on your sanctioned load tier
UPCL charges ₹75 per kW per month up to 1 kW, ₹85 per kW above 1 kW and up to 4 kW, and ₹100 per kW above that — not a single flat fee. This calculator applies the ₹85 per kW rate. A larger sanctioned load raises the fixed charge even if your usage stays the same.
Rural and hill rebates aren't applied automatically
Rural connections get a 5% rebate and hill-area connections a 10% rebate on the bill, but this calculator does not apply these automatically — factor them in separately if you qualify.
Electricity duty isn't in this estimate
A ₹0.15/unit electricity duty applies on top of the slab charges and is not modelled here, so your real UPCL bill will run slightly higher.

Load-tiered fixed charge and hill rebates
Uttarakhand’s fixed charge is a per-kW monthly rate tiered by sanctioned load (₹75/kW up to 1 kW, ₹85/kW above 1 kW and up to 4 kW, ₹100/kW above 4 kW), and rural areas get a 5% and hill areas a 10% rebate on the bill.
